I can't even imagine what these families are going through. Since I'm in Indy we have been following this tragic story since the night the crash happened. So, this was absolutely shocking when the news of the identity mix up came out. Such joy for one family and such heartbreak for another.
This same thing happened here when I was in High School. There was a crash in Hoover. My friend's brother was driving drunk with two girls in the car. He crashed killing himself and one of the girls. The girls were best friends and had traded jewlry so the parents made a wrong ID. No one knew till the day of the funeral when they realized the girl in the casket was not thier daughter but her friend. Which left the other family sitting by who they thought was thier daughter in the hospitol in a coma.
