Uncle Jimbo Update

I just got home & here is an update on Jimbo....
3:30pm
Surgery went great...No problems at all!
They only had to use his own blood, so no transfusion.
He's only on one drip & that is insulin. They do this to keep the blood sugars low, so he can heal quicker.
His arteries look really good. Overall everything is great!

The family got to go back to see him & for just a few minutes after surgery.
And they will be able to go see him again this evening for a bit longer.

I'll update more when Renee calls me.

Thanks for praying & please keep it up! There is no such thing as too much prayer. :)

8:00pm
Renee & the girls, except Jamie (she had to take Codie to ball practice) got to go back to see Jimbo. He opened his eyes & the first thing he said was, "Where's Jamie?" He was worried she was too upset to come back & see him.
But he's talking & held Renee's hand very tightly while they were able to visit with him.
They are still saying that EVERYTHING IS GREAT!
The family are going to be able to go visit him again one more time tonight.

10:00pm
Jimbo is looking better, each time they are able to see him.
He is doing as great as you possibly can, considering what he has gone through.
He was dealing with nausea. Renee prayed & it stopped. Please keep praying that he will not be nauseous again! There is no way he can throw up right now.
They are going to be getting him up tomorrow & getting him to walk to his room.

I'll update again later tomorrow sometime.
Thanks for stopping by & checking on him. Renee is thankful for everyone that is concerned & for the prayers.

This is an update from Donna. She sent out an e-mail today & some of you may have gotten it.

Just waned to give a quick update on Daddy. We just got home from the hospital. When we got there this morning, he was sitting up in bed feeding himself. Right before we arrived they removed all 3 of his chest tubes. He said it was VERY painful...then they had to stitch him up w/no anesthesia (he said it wasn't anything compared to the removal of the tubes).
When we left, they were about to remove his catheter and walk him to his new room (which is out of ICU). They said he's doing well. His color is good..and he's talking a little bit more, but it's just hard for him to stay awake due to all of the pain med's.

I have his room # if anyone wants it, so they can call his room. Just e-mail me & I'll send you the info.
