I love me some bacon! I always have. I am not a breakfast food person, but if there is bacon involved, I'll probably like it. I also love to make BLT's. The only problem is....I hate to cook it! I don't like the greasy mess. I hate how my entire house smells like bacon for days. I also feel like I have to take a shower after cooking it. So needless to say, bacon isn't cooked at my house much, except in my green beans.
When I had the opportunity to review a totally enclosed unit, for cooking bacon, I jumped at the idea! Not only is it a totally enclosed unit, it's for the microwave!
I have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival in the mail & was happy to get it yesterday. D was pretty excited too, because he knew there would be some bacon to eat. So, last night while watching Grey's Anatomy, I gave my microwave bacon cooker a shot. And after playing around with different cooking times (we like are bacon crispy), we were eating delicious bacon! I loved the fact that all the grease was in the bottom of the unit, away from the bacon. It took about 4 minutes for us to be eating. My house does not smell like bacon. And, the clean up was really a breeze. It all fits in the dishwasher, but I don't have one of those, so it fit in my sink nicely.
Now we can eat bacon anytime we want, without the mess or the ever lingering smell. I love it!

I use to cook my bacon in the mircowave on this rack thing that you hang bacon on, it worked great, but got lost in the move.
